Kevin’s car was competitive enough for him to hope for a good result despite starting pretty far from the pole. From the first laps, the St-Eustache driver was able to take two positions and found himself seventh, behind James Hinchcliffe. Unfortunately, an impatient move on the Ontarian driver put a stop to their race.

The Atlantic series drivers measured up this weekend at the Circuit du Mont-Tremblant for the third race of the season. Thanks to an awesome performance under the rain yesterday, St-Eustache’s Kevin Lacroix was able to take the pole position at the end of the second qualifying session. Unfortunately, the celebrations were cut short for the young driver due to an off-track excursion that sent him at the back of the pack.

He brought home a solid finish for the Indianapolis based squad. Lacroix had a great start, and gained a position going from fifth to fourth. The Canadian just kept his nose to the grindstone and battled Summerton, but prevailed in the end. The 19 year old earned a third place finish, starting the season off in style.

The young Quebec driver didn’t take the easiest route to finish sixth at the end of this afternoon’s race in Elkhart Lake. Kevin, who started from the 8th place quickly fell behind, before starting a spectacular recovery from 15th. The St-Eustache driver had a lot on his plate, he was in the middle of a lot of fights on track in order to gain the 9 positions that would award him 6th place at the finish.

The drivers of the Champ Car Atlantic series were battling for the win for a second race in two days. The Quebec driver took the start from 10th. Kevin had a good start and defended his position well. After a few laps, when Skerlong encountered mechanical problems, Kevin found himself 8th and in a good place to improve his place in the field. However, an error on lap 10 cost him two spots and he had to start all over again.

The young Quebec driver started the race beautifully, from the 14th spot at the start to climb up to 7th by mid-race. The race was neutralized on lap 15 and Kevin was 7th at the restart, he was to take 6th when a penalty was given to Jonathan Bomarito. Unfortunately, Kevin was implicated in an incident following which he had to come back to the pits. Is race was over.

This is the last leg of the Champ Car Atlantic series’ trip to Canada and this trip ends on a doubleheader. After racing on the magnificent road circuit of Mont-Tremblant and avoiding the traps of the demanding Toronto street circuit, the drivers of the series will face the challenges of a track layed out on an airport tarmac. Kevin Lacroix approaches this weekend with a lot of optimism. The Edmonton circuit presents a nice mix of fast and technical turns.

The start of the Champ Car Atlantic race was given in very bad weather conditions, when a large downpour came to soak the Toronto track. Starting from 14th on the grid, the Québec driver made a good start, avoiding contact and gaining a position in the meantime. However, numerous incidents during the first lap forced the officials to momentarily stop the race.

The second qualifying session has just ended on the Cleveland racetrack. The young Quebec driver showed good progression by reducing his Friday times by more than 1.7 second, however, this time gives only the 12th place on the grid. Once again, Kevin experienced problems adapting to this track at the wheel of a less than competitive car.

The young Quebec driver did not miss his entrance in the Champ Car Atlantic series by signing an impressive victory on his first weekend in Portland. Motivated by this unexpected result, the Brooks Team has reserved the Gingerman Raceway in Michigan to allow Kevin to continue his adaptation to the single-seater car and thus to acquire more experience. The goal of these tests is also to develop a good relationship between the driver and the team.

Well placed on the starting grid in Portland, Kevin Lacroix was taking the start from the seventh place for the first race of this weekend's double header. The rain stopped 30 minutes before the start of the race. The Brooks Associates Racing Team decided to put scrubbed rain tires, which are made of a harder compound and have better grip when the track dries, rather than dry tires. However, this strategy played against them since heavy rain fell immediately before the start.

Kevin Lacroix doesn't stop to amaze. The qualifying session for the weekend's second race has just finished. Kevin Lacroix's performance was simply exceptional, he signed the second best time at the wheel of the Brooks Associates Racing's car. Come Sunday, he will take the start from the first line. Only the experimented James Hinchcliffe managed to grab the pole from him at the very end of the session.
