A Brilliant victory for Kevin Lacroix

For his second career start in a Champ Car Atlantic car, the young Quebec driver realized quite an exploit by winning the race in Portland.

PuitsKevin lost a position at the start, but was able to pass Perera on the second lap. The first was deployed on the third lap when an incident required the presence of the safety teams, the pace car was then sent on track. At the restart, Kevin is able to make a great pass on James Hinchcliffe at the end of the straightaway, giving Lacroix the lead of the race. Without putting a wheel wrong, he crossed the finish line ahead of Hinchcliffe. Another proof of Kevin's enormous talent.

It is a tremendously happy driver that we talked to after the race. "There are no words that can describe this first victory, exclaimed Kevin. Everything worked well today, the car was fast and I was confident. I am really happy and I want to thank all my sponsors for their support, without them I would have never been able to do this race. Special thanks to Uni-Select and to Auto H. Grégoire."
